The KX126-1063 from ROHM Semiconductor is a tri-axis digital accelerometer designed for a wide range of motion sensing applications. This device features user-configurable g-ranges selectable between ±2g, ±4g, or ±8g, and supports high output data rates up to 25600Hz.
Integrated within the KX126-1063 are advanced algorithms for pedometer functionality, tap/double-tap detection, device orientation, and free fall detection. It also includes a substantial 2048-byte FIFO/FILO buffer for continuous data recording, even during read operations. The accelerometer operates from a supply voltage range of 1.71V to 3.6V DC and communicates via digital I2C (up to 3.4MHz) or SPI (up to 10MHz) protocols.
Packaged in a compact 2 x 2 x 0.9 mm LGA plastic package, the KX126-1063 is suitable for surface-mount applications where space is a constraint. Its design incorporates an internal voltage regulator for stable operating characteristics across the input supply voltage range. The device also features high-resolution wake-up functions with configurable thresholds down to 3.9 mg.
The KX126-1063 supports user-configurable g-ranges of ±2g, ±4g, or ±8g.
