The Kycon KUSBX-SMT-CS4-B30TR is a USB Type-C (USB-C) receptacle connector designed for high-speed data and power delivery applications. It conforms to USB 3.2 Gen 2 specification, supporting data rates up to 10Gbps. The connector has 24 contacts arranged in a single port, with a horizontal mounting orientation.
Electrical ratings include a voltage rating of 20V and multiple current ratings: 5A inclusive on VBUS pins (A4, A9, B4, B9), 1.25A on VCONN pin, 6.25A inclusive on GND pins, and 0.25A on all other pins. Contact resistance is 50mOhm maximum, insulation resistance is 100MOhm minimum at 250V DC, and dielectric withstanding voltage is 100V AC RMS for 1 minute.
The connector is mechanically robust with a minimum of 10,000 mating cycles. Insertion force ranges from 0.4kg to 3.0kg, and withdrawal force from 0.3kg to 3.0kg. It is shielded with nickel-plated stainless steel and uses a housing made of high-temperature thermoplastic rated UL 94V-0. Contacts are copper alloy with 30µ" gold plating on contact area and tin plating on solder tails.
Packaging is tape and reel, suitable for automated assembly. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C. The component is RoHS compliant.
