The KSZ8721B from Microchip Technology is a single-chip 10/100BaseTX/FX physical layer transceiver operating at 2.5V. It provides an MII interface for transmitting and receiving data, incorporating PMA, PMD, and PCS functions. The device features on-chip filtering for both 100BaseTX and 10BaseT, allowing a single set of line magnetics.
This transceiver supports automatic configuration for 10 or 100 Mbps speeds and full or half duplex operation through an on-chip auto-negotiation algorithm.
