The Kycon KLDX-SMT-0202-AP is a hybrid mount DC power jack from the KLDX-SMT series. It features a 2.00mm center pin diameter and a 5.50mm outer diameter, compatible with standard 2.0mm ID/5.5mm OD plugs. The connector includes a single switch contact that is normally closed, making it suitable for battery disconnect or power-on detection applications.
Rated at 3.5A and 24V DC, the jack offers low contact resistance: 30 mΩ max between terminals and 50 mΩ max to plug before durability. Insulation resistance is 100 MΩ min at 500V DC, and dielectric withstanding voltage is 500V AC RMS for 1 minute. The housing is made of high temperature thermoplastic rated UL94 V-0, and contacts are silver-plated brass or phosphor bronze with a nickel-plated copper alloy center pin.
Designed for automated assembly, the KLDX-SMT-0202-AP is packaged in bulk (tubes) and also available in tape and reel. The hybrid mount allows both through-hole anchor legs and surface mount solder pads, providing flexibility in PCB assembly. The operating temperature range is -25°C to +85°C, and the connector is rated for 5000 mating cycles.
