The Würth Elektronik K91122 is a PowerTwo Press-fit Powerelement, ideal for high-strength through-bolt connections and space-saving applications due to its double-sided PCB mounting capability. This component provides a permanent, reliable connection without stressing the PCB, suitable for currents up to 500 Amps depending on pin configuration and layout.
These Powerelements utilize Massive Press Fit Technology (MPFT), a process where solid pins are pressed into plated-through holes on a printed circuit board. This technology ensures excellent mechanical and electrical properties, making them suitable for harsh environments with high temperature fluctuations or vibration. The press-fit process creates a gas-tight, cold-welded connection with very low contact resistance, enabling high current carrying capacity.
Application possibilities include contacting and fastening of switches, fuses, and IGBTs, as well as wire-to-board connections for screwing ring cable lugs, board-to-board connections, busbar-to-board connections, and electromechanical applications like housing fastening and spacers.
Packaging options are flexible, including bulk, trays, or blister on reel for cost-effective assembly. ESD blister tape packaging is also available, optionally with Kapton stickers or custom packaging.
