The Würth Elektronik K91070, part of the PowerTwo series, is a press-fit powerelement designed for robust and space-saving PCB connections. It is ideal for high-strength through-bolt applications, providing a permanent and reliable connection without placing stress on the printed circuit board.

This powerelement can handle currents of up to 500 Amps, depending on the specific pin configuration and layout. It is suitable for various applications including wire-to-board connections for screwing ring cable lugs, board-to-board connections, busbar-to-board connections, and electromechanical uses like housing fastening and spacers.

The PowerTwo powerelements utilize Massive Press Fit Technology (MPFT), a process where solid pins are pressed into plated-through holes on a PCB. This technology ensures excellent mechanical and electrical properties, making the components suitable for harsh environments with temperature fluctuations or vibration. The press-fit process creates a gas-tight, cold-welded connection with very low contact resistance, enabling high current carrying capacity.

Flexible packaging options are available, including bulk, trays, and blister on reel, with options for ESD packaging. A lead-free version of the PowerTwo powerelement is also available.
