The JK0654219NL is a single-port RJ45 jack with integrated magnetics from Pulse Electronics, designed for 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet applications. It features 8 contacts (8P8C), a tab-up orientation, and a 90° right-angle through-hole mounting with solder termination. The connector is shielded with EMI fingers and includes a board guide for alignment. Two green LEDs provide link/activity indication.
Electrical performance meets IEEE 802.3 specifications with a minimum open circuit inductance of 350 µH at 8 mA bias. Typical insertion loss is -1 dB, return loss ranges from -20 dB at 1-10 MHz to -10 dB at 80-100 MHz, common mode rejection is -40 dB at low frequencies, and crosstalk is -30 dB across most of the frequency range. Hipot rating is 1500 Vrms. The connector is compatible with CAT5 and CAT6 UTP cables.
Mechanically, the jack has a mating and unmating force of 5 lbs (22.241 N) maximum, a minimum durability of 750 insertion cycles, and a retention force of 20 lbs (88.964 N). The housing is made of thermoplastic rated UL 94 V-0, the shield is brass, and contacts are phosphor bronze with gold finish. Operating temperature range is 0°C to 70°C, and the moisture sensitivity level is MSL 1. Peak wave solder temperature is 260°C for RoHS-6 versions.
