The JANTXV1N5806US is a military-qualified ultrafast recovery rectifier diode from Microchip Technology (formerly Microsemi). It is part of the 1N5806 series and features a voidless hermetically sealed glass construction with quadruple-layer passivation for extreme reliability. The device is rated for a working peak reverse voltage of 150V and an average rectified current of 1A at an ambient temperature of 55°C, or 2.5A at a lead temperature of 75°C. With a reverse recovery time of just 25 ns and a forward voltage drop of 875 mV at 1A, it is ideal for high-frequency switching applications such as switching power supplies and DC-DC converters.
The diode offers a high forward surge current capability of 35A and controlled avalanche characteristics with peak reverse power capability. It has a low thermal resistance of 36°C/W from junction to lead and operates over a wide temperature range from -65°C to 175°C. The surface mount package is the SQ-MELF A (D-5A), which is suitable for automated assembly. This device is available in JANTXV level per MIL-PRF-19500/477, making it suitable for high-reliability military, space, and aerospace applications where failure cannot be tolerated.
