| Working Peak Reverse Voltage |
The JANTXV1N5614 is a standard recovery rectifier diode from Microchip Technology (formerly Microsemi), part of the JEDEC-registered 1N5614 to 1N5622 series. It is qualified to MIL-PRF-19500/427 for high-reliability applications. The diode features a working peak reverse voltage of 200V and an average rectified forward current of 1.0A at 55°C (derated to 0.75A at 100°C). Forward voltage is 1.3V maximum at 3A, with a reverse recovery time of 2 µs. The device can handle a forward surge current of 30A at 8.3 ms half-sine.
Designed for general rectification, the diode is suitable for bridge and half-bridge circuits, catch diodes, and other applications where a failure cannot be tolerated. It has a robust construction with voidless hermetically sealed hard glass and tungsten slugs, providing low thermal resistance (38°C/W at 3/8 inch lead length) and thermal impedance of 4.5°C/W at 10 ms. The operating temperature range spans -65°C to 200°C.
Packaged in an axial through-hole case with tin/lead finish and a cathode band for polarity identification, the JANTXV1N5614 is available in tape and reel per EIA-296. This diode is inherently radiation hard and offers controlled avalanche with peak reverse power capability, making it ideal for military and other high-reliability environments.
