The JANTXV1N5555 is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from Microchip Technology. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 30.5V and a clamping voltage of 47.5V. With a peak pulse power rating of 1500W (10/1000µs) and a peak pulse current of 32A, it provides robust protection against transients. The device has an extremely fast response time of less than 100 ps, making it suitable for ESD and EFT protection per IEC61000-4-2 and IEC61000-4-4.
This TVS diode is qualified per MIL-PRF-19500/500, ensuring reliability in military and aerospace applications. It is commonly used to protect against transients from inductive switching, induced RF effects, and secondary lightning effects as defined in IEC61000-4-5. The hermetic sealed DO-13 (DO-202AA) metal package offers through-hole mounting with axial leads, providing durability in harsh environments.
The JANTXV1N5555 is part of the 1N5555 series and is available with JAN, JANTX, or JANTXV prefixes for military qualification. It is designed for general-purpose transient protection and is not intended for power line protection.
