JAN1N6117A is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from the 1N6103A-1N6137A series. It is rated for 500W peak pulse power at 10/1000 µs pulse and offers a working peak standoff voltage selection range of 5.7 to 152V. The device is military qualified to MIL-PRF-19500/516 with JAN level reliability.
The TVS features a voidless hermetically sealed glass package in an axial leaded B package configuration. It is designed for through-hole mounting with flexible axial leads. The junction temperature range is -55 to 175°C, with thermal resistance of 33.5°C/W from junction to lead at 3/8 inch lead length. Maximum steady-state power dissipation is 3W at 75°C lead temperature and 2W at 25°C ambient.
This series provides ESD and EFT protection per IEC 61000-4-2 and IEC 61000-4-4 respectively. The robust construction with triple-layer passivation and Category 1 metallurgical bonds makes it suitable for high-reliability applications where failure cannot be tolerated. The device is available in JAN, JANTX, JANTXV, and JANS qualification levels.
