The JAN1N5550 is a standard recovery rectifier diode from Semtech, rated for a working peak reverse voltage of 200V and an average rectified current of 5A at TL=30°C (derated to 3A at TA=55°C and 2A at TA=100°C). It features a forward voltage of 1V at 3A and a reverse recovery time of 2µs. The device is hermetically sealed in a voidless glass axial package, qualified to MIL-PRF-19500/420 for high-reliability and military applications. It operates over a temperature range of -65°C to +175°C, with a junction-to-lead thermal resistance of 22°C/W and a forward surge current capability of 100A. The diode is suitable for general rectification, bridge circuits, and catch diode applications in power supplies.
