The JAN1N5420 is a fast recovery rectifier diode rated for 600V working peak reverse voltage and 3A average rectified forward current (at +55°C). It features a reverse recovery time of 400ns, making it suitable for high-frequency rectification applications. The device is housed in a hermetically sealed voidless-glass axial package with through-hole mounting.
Electrical characteristics include a forward surge current capability of 80A (8.3ms half-sine) and a maximum forward voltage of 1.1V at 3A. The junction and storage temperature range is -65°C to +175°C, with a thermal resistance junction-to-lead of 22°C/W. The part is designed for high-reliability applications and is available in commercial and military qualified versions.
