The TDK InvenSense ITG-3701 is a 3-axis digital gyroscope designed for motion sensing applications. It offers a programmable full-scale range of ±500, ±1000, ±2000, and ±4000 degrees/sec, with a low rate noise density of 0.02 dps/√Hz.
This gyroscope features on-chip 16-bit ADCs, programmable digital filters, and an embedded temperature sensor. It supports both I2C and SPI interfaces, with I2C communication at 400kHz and SPI at 1MHz. For faster data access to sensor and interrupt registers, SPI can operate at 20MHz. The device includes a 512-byte FIFO buffer to reduce system power consumption by allowing burst reads.
