The STMicroelectronics ITA6V5C1RL is a monolithic Transil array designed for data line protection, offering high surge capability and low clamping voltage. It integrates five bidirectional Transil functions in a single 8-SOIC package, equivalent to four bidirectional TVS diodes with an additional ground connection. The device features a stand-off voltage of 5V (max) and a breakdown voltage of 6.5V (min at 1mA). At 8/20µs surge conditions, clamping voltage is 10V max at 10A and 12V max at 25A. The peak pulse current capability is 40A (8/20µs), supported by an I²t rating of 0.6 A²s. Leakage current is limited to 10µA at 5V, and input capacitance is 750pF max (I/O to GND) and 550pF max between input pins. Operating temperature ranges from -55°C to +150°C. The device is aimed at protecting RS232 and RS423 interfaces and is mounted using standard surface mount technology in an 8-SOIC footprint.
