The ISO7421EDR from Texas Instruments is a 2-channel digital isolator providing galvanic isolation up to 2500 V RMS. Each channel features a logic input and output buffer separated by a silicon dioxide insulation barrier, preventing noise currents from interfering with sensitive circuitry.
This device supports a signaling rate greater than 50 Mbps with a typical propagation delay of 7 ns and low pulse skew of 200 ps. It operates from 3-V to 5.5-V supply levels and is suitable for 3.3-V and 5-V level translation. The typical low power consumption is 1.8 mA per channel at 1 Mbps and 2.8 mA at 25 Mbps (3.3-V supplies).
