The Texas Instruments ISO1432BDWR is an EMC-protected, 12-Mbps, full-duplex isolated RS-485 and RS-422 transceiver. It is designed for robust communication in demanding environments, featuring a withstand isolation voltage of 5000Vrms and high common-mode transient immunity (CMTI) of 85kV/µs.

 

This transceiver supports a wide logic-side supply voltage range of 1.71V to 5.5V (VCC1) and a bus-side supply voltage range of 3V to 5.5V (VCC2). It includes failsafe receiver logic for bus open, short, and idle conditions, and supports up to 256 nodes on the bus with 1/8 unit load.

 

The ISO1432BDWR is available in a 16-SOIC wide-body package, suitable for surface mount applications. Its extended operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C makes it ideal for industrial applications. The device also features glitch-free power-up and power-down for hot-plugging.

 

Safety certifications include DIN EN IEC 60747-17, UL 1577, GB 4943.1, IEC 62368-1, IEC 60601-1, and IEC 61010-1, with approvals from CQC, TUV, and CSA.
