The ISL84684IUZ-T is designed to address ASIC functionality limitations, particularly in devices like cell phones, by allowing additional functionality to be multiplexed without increasing ASIC design risk. Its digital logic inputs are 1.8V compatible when using a +3V supply. The switch consists of two normally open (NO) and two normally closed (NC) switches, enabling its use as a dual 2-to-1 multiplexer.

 

This analog switch is offered in small form factor packages, including the 10-MSOP and 10-TDFN, to help alleviate board space constraints. It is pin-compatible with Maxim Integrated's MAX4684 and MAX4685 devices. The device also boasts an ESD HBM rating of greater than 8kV and guaranteed break-before-make functionality.
