The IS6605A is a fully integrated, high-frequency, synchronous step-down converter designed by Innovisionsemi. It provides a compact solution capable of delivering up to 6A of continuous output current with excellent load and line regulation across a wide input voltage range of 4V to 16V (internal bias VCC) or 2.7V to 16V (external bias VCC).
This converter features Turbo Constant-On-Time (TCOT™) control for fast transient response and simplified loop stability. The switching frequency is programmable, offering options of 600kHz, 1.1MHz, 1.5MHz, or 2MHz, and remains constant regardless of input and output voltages. The output voltage is adjustable from 0.6V to 5.5V, with a maximum duty cycle of 90%. It achieves up to 90% efficiency at VIN=12V, VOUT=1.8V.
The IS6605A includes a soft-start process controlled by an internal 1.5ms timer, which can be extended with an external capacitor. An open-drain PGOOD signal indicates when the output is within its nominal voltage range. Protection features include over-current protection (OCP), over-voltage protection (OVP), under-voltage protection (UVP), and over-temperature protection (OTP).
Available in a 14-pin QFN (2mmx3mm) package, the IS6605A is suitable for surface mounting. Its operating temperature range is -40°C to 125°C (TJ). This device is designed for applications such as Telecom/Datacom, Computing and Servers, and Point of Load Modules.
