The IR3500AMTRPBF from Infineon Technologies is a specialized control integrated circuit (IC) designed for implementing VR11.0 or AMD PVID power solutions. Combined with xPHASE3 Phase ICs, it provides a flexible and efficient multiphase power supply architecture.
Key features include 1 to X phase operation, programmable VID select for AMD 5 or 6-bit PVID and Intel VR11, and 0.5% overall system set point accuracy. The device supports a programmable clock oscillator frequency from 250kHz to 9MHz, resulting in a per-phase switching frequency of 250kHz to 1.5MHz. It also offers programmable dynamic VID slew rate, VID offset, and load line output impedance.
For robust performance, the IR3500AMTRPBF includes a high-speed error amplifier with a 30MHz bandwidth and 12V/µs slew rate. It provides programmable current limit during soft-start and hiccup modes, central over-voltage detection, and protection against open remote sense lines and control loops.
