The Vishay Dale IR21844S is a high voltage, high speed power MOSFET and IGBT driver. It features dependent high and low side referenced output channels, built with proprietary HVIC and latch immune CMOS technologies for rugged monolithic construction.
This gate driver IC is fully operational to +600V and tolerant to negative transient voltage, with dV/dt immunity. The gate drive supply range is from 10 to 20V, and it includes undervoltage lockout for both channels. The logic input is compatible with standard CMOS or LSTTL output down to 3.3V logic.
The output drivers provide a high pulse current buffer stage designed for minimum driver cross-conduction. The floating channel can drive an N-channel power MOSFET or IGBT in the high side configuration. The IR21844S is available in a 14-SOIC surface mount package.
Key electrical characteristics include an output source current capability of 1.4A and a sink current capability of 1.8A. Matched propagation delay for both channels and logic and power ground +/- 5V offset are also featured.
