The device features a gate drive supply range from 12 to 18V and includes undervoltage lockout. A key feature is the current detection and limiting loop, which protects the driven power transistor by limiting its current. An error lead indicates fault conditions and programs the shutdown time. The output is in phase with the input.

 

Logic inputs are compatible with standard CMOS or LSTTL outputs down to 2.5V logic. The output driver stage is designed for minimum driver cross-conduction. The protection circuitry detects over-current in the driven power transistor and limits the gate drive voltage. Cycle-by-cycle shutdown is programmed by an external capacitor.

 

The IR2125 is available in an 8-PDIP package and is suitable for high-side or low-side N-channel power MOSFET or IGBT configurations. Its operating temperature range is -40°C to 150°C.
