The IDP2308 is a digital PFC (Power Factor Correction) and half-bridge/LLC resonant converter combo controller IC from Infineon Technologies. It integrates both PFC and LLC control in a single device, targeting offline power supplies for LED TV SMPS applications.
The controller features digital control for multi-mode PFC operation and half-bridge LLC resonant conversion. It is designed for an input voltage range of 85 VAC to 265 VAC and can deliver output power up to 120 W as demonstrated in the reference design. The device is RoHS3 compliant, REACH unaffected, and has an MSL rating of 1 (unlimited floor life).
The IDP2308 is used in combination with external MOSFETs such as IPD60R400CE and IPD60R1K5CE to form a complete PFC-LLC converter. The controller enables high efficiency and compact design suitable for LED TV power supplies.
