ICS512M

The Renesas ICS512M is a LOCO™ (Low Cost Oscillator) PLL clock multiplier that generates a high-quality, high-frequency clock output and a reference clock from a lower frequency crystal or clock input. It is designed to replace crystal oscillators in many electronic systems. Using Phase-Locked-Loop (PLL) techniques, the ICS512M utilizes an inexpensive crystal to produce output clocks up to 200 MHz. The device offers nine different multiplication factors stored in its ROM, allowing for flexible frequency generation.

Key electrical specifications include an input crystal frequency range of 5-27 MHz and an input clock frequency range of 2-50 MHz. The output clock frequency can reach up to 200 MHz with a duty cycle of 45/55. It operates over a voltage range of 3.0V to 5.5V and features CMOS output. The device is packaged in an 8-pin SOIC (0.154", 3.90mm Width) surface mount package.
