The ICM-20948 from InvenSense Inc. is a highly integrated 9-axis MotionTracking device designed for low-power applications. It combines a 3-axis gyroscope, a 3-axis accelerometer, and a 3-axis compass, along with an onboard Digital Motion Processor (DMP). This integration offloads complex motion processing algorithms from the host processor, significantly improving system power performance.
The device supports a wide operating voltage range from 1.71V to 3.6V and offers flexible communication interfaces including I2C at 400 kHz and high-speed SPI at 7 MHz. The gyroscope features programmable full-scale ranges up to ±2000 dps, while the accelerometer supports ranges up to ±16g. The integrated compass provides measurements up to ±4900 µT.
