The IAM-20680HV from TDK InvenSense is a high-value, automotive-grade 6-axis MotionTracking MEMS device designed for demanding automotive applications. This device integrates a programmable gyroscope with full-scale ranges of ±125 dps to ±1000 dps and a programmable accelerometer with ranges of ±2 g to ±16 g. Both sensors feature integrated 16-bit ADCs for high-resolution data acquisition.
Supporting I2C and SPI interfaces, the IAM-20680HV includes user-programmable digital filters for gyroscope, accelerometer, and temperature sensor data, along with an embedded self-test function. It offers two interrupt lines and a Wake-on-Motion feature for low-power operation of the applications processor. Reliability testing is performed according to AEC–Q100 standards.
This IMU is suitable for applications such as navigation systems, aids for dead reckoning, vehicle-to-vehicle location, vision systems, camera stabilization, head-up displays, car alarms, telematics, and vehicle tracking. It is available in a 16-LGA (3x3) surface-mount package.
