The Samtec HW-24-20-S-D-810-SM-A is a high-temperature flexible board stacking header from the HW-SM series. It is designed for surface mount board-to-board stacking applications with a 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch. This double-row header provides 48 positions (24 per row) and a stacking height of 0.810" (20.574mm). The vertical orientation allows for elevated board stacking in space-constrained designs.
The header features 0.025" (0.635mm) square phosphor bronze posts with a gold finish (30µin over nickel). The insulator is made of liquid crystal polymer (LCP), black in color, with the top natural LCP. The SMT tails have a lead coplanarity of 0.006" (0.15mm) maximum. The overall length is 27.05mm. Packaging is in tubes of 9 pieces.
The HW-24-20-S-D-810-SM-A is lead-free solderable and is rated RoHS3 compliant. It offers an operating temperature range from -55°C to +125°C when gold-plated, suitable for high-reliability applications. The MSL is level 1 (unlimited).
The Flex Stack design allows for modified post heights and body positions in 0.005" increments, providing flexibility for custom stacking heights. This connector mates with Samtec socket strips such as the SSW, BCS, BSW, and others. Typical applications include elevated board stacking in industrial, communications, and test equipment.
