The HW-10-08-T-D-310-SM is a surface mount board stacking header from Samtec's HW series. It is designed for elevated board-to-board stacking applications requiring high-temperature processing. The part number encodes 10 pins per row (20 total), lead style 08, matte tin plating, double row, and a 0.310" (7.874 mm) stacker height.
This header has 20 positions arranged in 2 rows with a pitch of 0.100" (2.54 mm) and row spacing of 0.100". The contacts are made of phosphor bronze with a tin finish. The insulator is liquid crystal polymer (LCP), with a natural LCP top and black LCP bottom. The operating temperature range is -55°C to +105°C for tin plating. It is lead-free solderable and has a maximum SMT lead coplanarity of 0.15 mm.
The HW series allows designers to specify custom stacking heights by adjusting the body position on the terminal pin in 0.005" increments. This flexibility makes it suitable for non-standard board spacing requirements. The surface mount version is designed for automated assembly and is compatible with reflow soldering processes. Compliance includes RoHS3, REACH unaffected, and MSL 1.
