The Samtec HW-04-10-L-D-250-SM is a high-temperature flexible board stacking header from the HW-SM series. It provides 8 positions arranged in 2 rows on a 2.54mm (0.100 inch) pitch, with a row spacing of 2.54mm. The connector uses surface mount termination with solder leads (lead style 10) and is designed for elevated board stacking applications where precise spacing is required.
The contact system uses 0.025 inch (0.635mm) square phosphor bronze posts with a gold finish of 10 microinches on the contact area and matte tin on the tail. The insulator is made of liquid crystal polymer (LCP), with a natural LCP top and black LCP bottom. The stacker height is 6.35mm (0.250 inches) as indicated by the part number suffix.
This component is rated for an operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C with gold plating, and is lead-free solderable per the datasheet. SMT lead coplanarity is 0.15mm maximum. It is suitable for high-temperature reflow processes and can be mated with various Samtec socket strips such as SSW, BCS, BSW, and others.
