The Renesas HVC350B is a variable capacitance diode, also known as a varactor or varicap, designed for use in Voltage Controlled Oscillators (VCOs).
This diode features a high capacitance ratio, specified at a minimum of 2.8. Its series resistance is kept low, with a maximum of 0.5 Ohms at 470 MHz and 1V reverse voltage. The capacitance at 1V and 1MHz ranges from 15.5 to 17.0 pF, and at 4V and 1MHz, it ranges from 5.0 to 6.0 pF. The C-V linearity is noted as good.
Absolute maximum ratings include a reverse voltage of 15V, a junction temperature of 125°C, and a storage temperature range of -55°C to +125°C.
The HVC350B is housed in an Ultra Small Flat Package (UFP), making it suitable for surface mount designs. The package dimensions are 1.6 x 1.2 mm with a height of 0.3 mm. The mass is approximately 0.0016 g.
