The Samtec HSEC8-140-01-S-RA-BL-TR is a high-speed edge card connector from the HSEC8 series, designed for demanding signal integrity applications. It features 80 total positions arranged in two rows of 40 with a 0.80mm pitch, providing a dual readout interface for 0.062" (1.57mm) thick daughter cards.
The connector utilizes beryllium copper cantilever contacts with 30.0µin (0.76µm) gold plating on the contact area, ensuring reliable mating over many cycles. It is rated for 2.8A per contact (2 pins powered) and 240 VAC, with an operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. The black LCP insulator is lead-free solderable.
This right-angle surface mount version includes board locks and a board guide for secure alignment during assembly. It is supplied in tape and reel packaging (indicated by the -TR suffix) and supports PCI Express 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, and 6.0 protocols with up to 64 Gbps PAM4 performance.
