The Samtec HSEC8-120-01-L-RA-TR is a high-speed edge card connector from the Generate series, featuring a 0.80mm pitch and 40 positions arranged in two rows. This female connector is designed for right-angle surface mount attachment, making it suitable for compact, high-density PCB layouts. The contacts are made of beryllium copper with 10 µ" gold plating on the contact area and matte tin on the tails, ensuring reliable signal integrity and durability.
Electrical performance includes a current rating of 2.6 A max (per manufacturer page) and a voltage rating of 175 VAC / 247 VDC. The connector supports data rates up to 28 Gbps NRZ, making it ideal for high-speed protocols such as PCIe 4.0, USB 3.2, and 10/25/50 GbE. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 125°C, and the insulator is molded from black Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP).
The connector includes a board guide feature for easy alignment during assembly. It is packaged in Tape & Reel with a standard quantity of 250 pieces per reel. The HSEC8-RA series is compatible with 1.60 mm (0.062") thick daughter cards and can be used with Samtec's ECDP cable system for wire-to-board applications.
