The HMC860LP3ETR from Analog Devices is a BiCMOS ultra-low noise, quad-output linear voltage regulator. It is designed for applications requiring excellent noise performance and high power supply rejection ratio (PSRR), particularly in the 0.1 MHz to 10 MHz range.
This regulator features four voltage outputs, with VR1 capable of 80 mA at 3V, VR2 and VR3 at 20 mA each at 3V, and VR4 at 120 mA at 4.5V. The output voltages are adjustable from 2.5V to 5.2V using an external resistor, and can be set to 5V by grounding the HV pin. It includes a TTL-compatible Enable input for power-down functionality, with a low power-down current of less than 1 µA.
The HMC860LP3ETR is housed in a compact 3x3mm QFN SMT package, making it suitable for space-constrained designs. Its ultra-low noise characteristics (3nV/√Hz at 10 kHz) and high PSRR (80 dB at 1 kHz) make it ideal for frequency generation subsystems, test instrumentation, military radios, and mixed-signal circuit supplies.
