The HMC313 and HMC313E are GaAs InGaP Heterojunction Bipolar Transistor (HBT) MMIC amplifiers designed to operate from a single Vcc supply. These surface mount SOT26 amplifiers are suitable for use as broadband gain stages or can be matched for optimized narrow band applications.
With a Vcc of +5V, the HMC313(E) provides 17 dB of gain and +15 dBm of saturated power while consuming only 50 mA of current. Key electrical specifications include a frequency range of DC to 6 GHz, a typical gain of 17 dB, and an output power for 1 dB compression (P1dB) of +14 dBm at 1.0 GHz. The device also features a typical noise figure of 6.5 dB and an output IP3 of +27 dBm at 1.0 GHz.
The HMC313 is ideal as a driver and amplifier for applications such as 2.2 - 2.7 GHz MMDS, 3.5 GHz Wireless Local Loop, and 5 - 6 GHz UNII & HiperLAN systems. It is housed in an ultra-small SOT26 package, making it suitable for space-constrained designs. The amplifier is also included in the HMC-DK001 Designer’s Kit.
