The HMC292A is a miniature, passive, Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC) double balanced mixer. It functions as both an upconverter and a downconverter within the 14 GHz to 32 GHz RF frequency range. This mixer requires no external components or DC bias, simplifying integration.
Key electrical specifications include a typical conversion loss of 9 dB and a single-sideband noise figure of 11 dB, both measured at 14 GHz to 30 GHz. It also features a wide IF frequency range from DC to 8 GHz. The device provides excellent isolation characteristics, with LO to RF isolation typically at 46 dB.
Designed for demanding applications, the HMC292A is suitable for microwave and VSAT radios, test equipment, point-to-point radios, and military electronic warfare (EW), electronic countermeasure (ECM), and command, control, communications and intelligence (C3I) systems.
The HMC292A is supplied as a bare die, intended for surface mount applications.
