This device operates from a single 3.3V or 5.0V supply. Each receiver channel translates incoming ARINC 429 data bus signals to a pair of TTL/CMOS outputs. The HI-8454 variant includes TESTA and TESTB inputs for bypassing analog inputs and forcing receiver outputs to a specified state, a feature not present on the HI-8455.

 

The HI-8454PST is available in a 20-pin TSSOP package. It supports both Industrial (-40°C to +85°C) and Extended (-55°C to +125°C) temperature ranges, with optional burn-in available for extended temperature parts. This component is suitable for ARINC 429 to CMOS/TTL level conversion in demanding environments.
