The Holt Integrated Circuits HI-3185PSI is a silicon gate CMOS device designed as a line driver for ARINC 429 bus specifications. It provides built-in 2,000V minimum ESD input protection and is TTL and CMOS compatible.
This device operates at data rates up to 100 kbits/s. The differential outputs are independently programmable for high or low speed ARINC 429 output rise and fall time specifications using external capacitors. The output voltage swing is also adjustable via an external voltage to the VREF input.
Available in SOIC packages, the HI-3185PSI is suitable for avionics and data communication applications requiring CMOS/TTL to ARINC 429 level conversion. It serves as a functional upgrade for Holt's HI-8382 & HI-8383 and is an alternate source for parts from Intersil/Harris and Fairchild/Raytheon.
Features include low power CMOS, programmable output voltage swing, and adjustable ARINC rise and fall times. The HI-318X series is intended for use where logic signals must be converted to ARINC 429 levels.
