The Agilent Technologies HFBR-5903 is a versatile transceiver designed for implementing FDDI and ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) designs at 100 Mb/s-125 MBd rates, as well as Fast Ethernet 100 Base-FX interfaces. This 1300 nm product offers optical performance compliant with the FDDI PMD standard (ISO/IEC 9314-3: 1990 and ANSI X3.166 - 1990), the FDDI LCF-PMD standard, the ATM 100 Mb/s physical layer, and the 100 Base-FX version of IEEE 802.3u.
Supplied in the industry-standard 2x5 DIP package style with an MT-RJ fiber connector interface, the HFBR-5903 is suitable for 2 km multimode fiber backbone links and wiring closet to desktop links. It operates on a single +3.3V power supply and is compatible with wave soldering and aqueous wash processes. The device is manufactured in an ISO 9002 certified facility.
The HFBR-5903 is available with an operating temperature range of 0°C to +70°C. An extended temperature variant, HFBR-5903A, is available for -40°C to +85°C operation.
