The HEF4541BP is a versatile programmable timer integrated circuit manufactured by NXP Semiconductors (formerly Philips). It incorporates a 16-stage binary counter, an integrated oscillator that can be controlled by external components (Rt and Ct) within a frequency range of 1 Hz to 100 kHz, and output control logic. The device also includes an automatic power-on reset function and a master reset input.
The counter can divide the oscillator frequency by 2^8, 2^10, 2^13, or 2^16, selectable via address inputs A0 and A1. This allows it to function as a frequency divider or, with the MODE input set appropriately, as a single transition timer. The output signal is available at pin O, with a complementary phase output at pin PH.
Available in 14-lead DIP and SO packages, the HEF4541BP is designed for through-hole mounting. Its functionality makes it suitable for various timing and frequency division tasks in digital circuits.
