The HEF4104B is a quadruple low voltage to high voltage translator with 3-state outputs, designed by Philips. It features four data inputs (I0 to I3), an active HIGH output enable input (EO), four data outputs (O0 to O3), and their complements.

 

With the output enable (EO) input HIGH, the outputs (O0 to O3 and their complements) are in the low impedance ON-state, determined by the data inputs (I0 to I3). When EO is LOW, the outputs are in the high impedance OFF-state.

 

The device utilizes a common negative supply (VSS) and separate positive supplies for inputs (VDDI) and outputs (VDDO). It is important that VDDI is always less than or equal to VDDO, even during power turn-on and turn-off. The HEF4104BP is available in a 16-lead DIL plastic package, suitable for through-hole mounting.
