The HDC1010YPAR from Texas Instruments is a digital sensor that accurately measures both humidity and temperature. It offers excellent measurement accuracy with a typical relative humidity accuracy of ±2% and a temperature accuracy of ±0.2°C. The sensor operates over a wide supply voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V and consumes very low power, making it suitable for battery-powered applications.
Designed for ease of integration, the HDC1010YPAR utilizes an I2C interface for digital communication. It comes in a tiny 2 mm × 1.6 mm WLCSP (Wafer Level Chip Scale Package), specifically the 8-DSBGA variant, which simplifies board design. The sensing element is positioned on the bottom of the device, enhancing its robustness against contaminants. The sensor provides 14-bit measurement resolution and includes a 100 nA sleep mode current.
This sensor is factory calibrated, with calibration data stored in its on-chip non-volatile memory. It is suitable for a wide range of applications requiring precise environmental monitoring.
