The HD61602 from HIT is a Segment Type LCD Driver designed for versatile microprocessor interfacing. It operates within a wide voltage range of 2.2V to 5.5V and is compatible with TTL interfaces at 4.5V to 5.5V.
This LSI features low current consumption, capable of running from battery power with a maximum of 100 µA at 5V. A standby input further reduces consumption to 5 µA max. at 5V. The HD61602 includes an internal power supply circuit for the liquid crystal display driver, simplifying integration into microprocessor systems.
Available in 80-pin plastic QFP packages (FP-80 and FP-80A), the HD61602 supports various driving methods and display capacities, such as 8 segments x 6 digits + 3 marks with a 1/2 bias, 1/2 duty configuration, and a frame frequency of 65 Hz at 100 kHz fOSC.
The HD61603, a related model, is optimized for static drive with 64 segment outputs, capable of displaying 8 digits per chip, and operates at a frame frequency of 33 Hz at 100 kHz fOSC.
