The Microchip Technology HCS365/SM is a specialized integrated circuit designed for secure Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) and remote control systems. It utilizes KEELOQ® code hopping technology to provide high security, preventing code scanning and code grabbing attacks.
This encoder features a 32-bit hopping code and supports programmable 32-bit serial numbers, 64-bit crypt keys, and 60-bit seed values. It operates within a voltage range of 2.05V to 5.5V and offers four button inputs, providing 15 functions. The device supports various modulation types including PWM, VPWM, PPM, and Manchester, with selectable baud rates.
The HCS365/SM is housed in an 8-SOIC package suitable for surface mounting. Its on-chip EEPROM stores configuration data, and it includes an on-chip tuned oscillator with ±10% tolerance over voltage and temperature.
