The HCS360T-I/SN from Microchip Technology is a secure code hopping encoder utilizing KEELOQ® technology. It is ideal for unidirectional remote keyless entry systems and access control applications, including automotive RKE, alarm systems, immobilizers, and gate/garage door openers.
This encoder features a programmable 64-bit encryption key and a 28/32-bit serial number, generating a 67-bit transmission code. It supports 2.0V to 6.6V operation and includes four button inputs offering up to 15 functions. The device supports PWM and Manchester modulation and features an on-chip EEPROM for storing keys and configuration data.
The HCS360T-I/SN is supplied in an 8-SOIC surface-mount package. Its design incorporates an on-chip oscillator and timing components, with internal pull-down resistors on button inputs and current limiting on the LED output, minimizing external component count for a cost-effective solution.
