This encoder features a programmable 28-bit serial number and a programmable 64-bit encryption key, ensuring each transmission is unique with a 66-bit code length. The device also supports automatic code word completion and transmits a low battery signal to the receiver.
Key security features include read-protected crypt keys and non-volatile synchronization data. The HCS300/SN integrates an on-chip EEPROM, oscillator, and timing components, minimizing the need for external circuitry. Button inputs have internal pull-down resistors, and the LED output has current limiting. The component is housed in an 8-SOIC package suitable for surface mounting.
