The GSOT03C-G3-08 from Vishay Dale is a two-line unidirectional TVS (Zener) diode designed for general purpose ESD protection. It offers a reverse standoff voltage of 3.3 V typical and a minimum breakdown voltage of 4 V. The maximum clamping voltage is 12.3 V at a peak pulse current of 30 A (8/20 µs).
This device provides robust ESD immunity per IEC 61000-4-2 with ±30 kV contact and air discharge ratings, and it meets AEC-Q101 requirements with human body model >8 kV (class H3B). Typical capacitance is 420 pF at 1 MHz. It is housed in a compact SOT-23-3 (TO-236-3, SC-59) surface-mount package suitable for automated assembly.
The GSOT03C-G3-08 is ideal for protecting sensitive electronics in portable devices, data lines, and automotive applications where space is limited. It operates over a temperature range of -55 °C to 150 °C (TJ). The green version weighs 8.1 mg and the standard version weighs 8.8 mg.
