The SL Power Electronics GSM7-28 is a 7 Watt single output global performance switcher, recognized as the world's smallest medically approved 7W supply. It operates with a wide-range AC input from 85-264 Vac and is approved to UL2601-1 and EN60601-1 standards.
This open frame converter offers a continuous output power of 7W with a peak capability of 9W for short durations. It features fully protected short circuit and output overload protection, with a cycling type power limit. The unit operates efficiently, with a minimum efficiency of 72% for the 5.0V model at full rated load.
Designed for ultra-compact applications, the GSM7-28 has dimensions of 2.00" x 2.28" x 0.56". It is suitable for medical applications and is marked to the Low Voltage Directive (LVD). The converter is designed for operation between 0°C and 50°C, with derating required above 50°C.
Compliance includes EMI conducted emissions to CISPR11 Class B and FCC Class B. It also meets standards for static discharge, RF field susceptibility, fast transients/bursts, and surge susceptibility as per EN61000-4-2, EN61000-4-3, EN61000-4-4, and EN61000-4-5 respectively.
