GRP-110-1/2

The Alpha Wire GRP-110-1/2 is a lightweight, expandable braided polyester sleeving that provides high flexibility and resistance to abrasion and cut-through. Its open weave design allows for a wide range of expansion, ensuring ease of installation and a secure grip over various shapes and sizes.

This sleeving operates within a temperature range of -70°C to 125°C and can withstand short-term exposure to 230°C. It is not affected by most chemical environments and common solvents, and exhibits no fungus growth. The GRP-110-1/2 meets MIL-I-631D specifications and passes the UL VW-1 flame test (for GRP-120 variant).

Key mechanical specifications include a minimum supplied inner diameter of 0.250 inches and a maximum expanded inner diameter of 0.750 inches, with a nominal wall thickness of 0.025 inches. It is constructed with 48 carriers and 3 yarns, totaling 144 monofilaments. The sleeving is available in black or natural colors.

Applications for this expandable sleeving include cut-resistant covering for wires, cables, and hoses, as well as wire bundling and harnessing. It is also suitable as a jacket for flat cables. For preventing fraying of ends, it is recommended to cut and seal with a hot knife.
