The GRF6011 from Guerrilla RF is a high-performance SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) failsafe switch. It is designed to be linear and offers ultra-low loss across its operating frequency range of 0.1 to 6.0 GHz. This switch provides excellent linearity, with IP0.1dB levels greater than 1 Watt and IIP3 levels exceeding 55 dBm for both RF paths in switching mode.
A key feature of the GRF6011 is its failsafe characteristic when all voltage inputs are removed. In this failsafe mode, the RFC to RF1 path defaults to a high insertion loss, while the RFC to RF2 path defaults to a low insertion loss state that maintains high linearity. The device operates from a supply voltage range of 3.0 to 5.0 volts, with a single control input (VSEL).
With optimization of external components, the upper frequency range of the GRF6011 can be extended to 6 GHz. The switch is housed in a compact 1.5 DFN-6 package, making it suitable for space-constrained applications.
