GRF5536

The GRF5536 from Guerrilla RF is a high-gain, two-stage InGaP HBT power amplifier. It is engineered to deliver superior P1dB, ACLR, and IM3 performance across the 3.3 to 3.8 GHz band, with an extended tune available up to 4.2 GHz.

This amplifier is ideal for transmitter applications that do not typically employ digital predistortion correction schemes due to its exceptional native linearity. It provides +23 dBm linear output power, maintained even at 105 °C, with a high ACLR of greater than 45 dBc. Key electrical specifications include a typical gain of 24.8 dB at 3.55 GHz, an OP1dB of 32.8 dBm, and an OIP3 of 47.8 dBm.

The GRF5536 operates with a 5 V supply voltage and has a quiescent current consumption of 205 mA in native mode. It features 50 Ω single-ended input and output impedances, digital shutdown capability, and a rugged design resilient to mismatched loads. The device is housed in a compact 3 x 3 mm QFN-16 package, suitable for surface mounting.

Applications for the GRF5536 include cellular boosters and repeaters, automotive compensators, picocells, femtocells, customer premises equipment, cellular DAS, and general wireless infrastructure. Its operating temperature range is -40 to 105 °C.
